Item one-off entry

This is the one-off item template that the new one-off item will be based on.

When this button is clicked, you will be prompted to select an item. After an item is selected, the details in the Item one-off entry form will be updated to match that item’s details – except:

• The Template item field will not be changed.
• The prefix that is used for the Final item code will still be based on the template item.
• The Supplier code field will not be updated if one is already set.
• If the Item one-off entry form was opened from another form, such as by pressing CTRL+O on a sales order or purchase order, the Warehouse and Supplier code fields will be based on the original form’s warehouse and supplier code, if they are set.

This is the warehouse that will stock the new one-off item and will automatically be added to its Warehouse list.

This field can be set manually but will be updated automatically when an item is selected using the Template item field or Copy item details button.

When a Template item is selected:

• If the Item one-off entry form was opened from another form, such as by pressing CTRL+O on a sales order or purchase order, this field will be set automatically based on the warehouse of the original form, if one exists.
• If no warehouse is set because of another form, this field will be set automatically based on the warehouse of the template item.
• If the template item isn't assigned to a warehouse, the warehouse will be set based on the Default sales warehouse. For more information regarding the default sales warehouse, please see How to set default Warehouses for users.

When an item is selected using the Copy item details button:

• If the Item one-off entry form was opened from another form, such as by pressing CTRL+O on a sales order or purchase order, this field will be set automatically based on the warehouse of the original form, if one exists.
• If the template item isn't assigned to a warehouse, the warehouse will be set based on the Default sales warehouse. For more information regarding the default sales warehouse, please see How to set default Warehouses for users.
